Sabbatical at Wells Fargo? (3 posts) (3 voices)

  1. I was working for Wachovia when our company merged with Wells Fargo. Wachovia didn't have a sabbatical offering. But I've heard that Wells Fargo used to have one. Do they still?

  2. John, Been trying to get you the most current information. Wells Fargo did have a sabbatical program at one time. Our tracking shows that the program is not continuing at the present time. With every effort, we are trying to get verification from company officials on this.
So far, I'd say you didn't gain a sabbatical in your future. Barbara

  3. John - Wells Fargo has what it calls a "Volunteer Leave Program" in which eligible team members can be considered for salary continuation and benefits -- from three days to four months -- while "volunteering on a project of significant impact at a nonprofit organization of the team members’ choice".

It's by application, and here are the stipulations for the applicant:

    - Is working at least 30 hours per week.
    - Has completed five years of regular employment with Wells Fargo or Wachovia as of December 31, 2020.
    - Has at least a level 3 performance rating and is currently in good standing.
    - Has volunteered for the nominated nonprofit organization for at least one year.

    Hope this helps!
